Public survey and discussion paper
From 8 March to 19 April 2023, the community was invited to share experiences and contributions to inform the Strategy through a survey and response to a discussion paper.

Roundtable discussions
In November and December 2022, the Office for Women undertook a series of targeted consultations to inform the development of the strategy. These roundtable discussions involved a range of stakeholders, including:
- National Women's Alliances
- gender experts
- academics
- economists
- the community sector
- unions
- businesses
- topic experts.
Roundtable participants were asked to consider:
- the drivers of gender inequality
- the barriers preventing progress on achieving gender equality
- what opportunities exist to make progress on achieving gender equality
- what success looks like.
